let me introduce you to
Tranqli
A quiet desktop time tracker.
No account, cloud, or analytics.
Tranqli is a small rounded widget that floats above your other windows. One click starts it. Another pauses. Another resumes. Drag it anywhere. The color tells you what state it's in. The time only appears when your mouse hovers over the widget.
No notifications. No dashboards. No analytics. No account. Your data stays on your machine. No cross-device sync.
ADHD friendly.
- Left-click:start,pause,resume.
- Right-click: open the menu (set tag, save session, color scheme, archive).
- Drag: move it anywhere. Tranqli remembers where you put it.
- Hover: peek at the recorded time.
A session is one tag on one day. Tags are yours to invent. Name them however helps you organize. Tracking the same tag on the same day twice just adds to the existing one, no duplicates.
To rename, retag, or clean things up, there's a small local web page (Edit data (web) in the right-click menu). The archive view groups everything by year and month with totals per tag.
When your computer sleeps, Tranqli sleeps too. That time doesn't get counted. You don't have to think about it.
Six color schemes in the right-click menu: Earthen, Twilight, Blossom, Espresso, Hearth, Steel. Three sizes too: small, medium, large.
Everything's saved in a simple CSV file on your computer (%APPDATA%\Tranqli\sessions.csv). Open it in Excel, a text editor, or the local web page above.
- No popup notifications.
- No tracking. No servers. No accounts. Your data never leaves your computer.
- No "AI-powered insights". It just counts minutes.
